1sts bag three points in UCD

Mullingar started strong with a lot of open play passing. Plenty of crosses into the D but nobody at the end to put it in the net.

Andrew Rice broke the deadlock and nailed a dragged short corner into the bottom left corner to put Mullingar in the lead.

Marc Watters managed to find himself in some space in the D when Andrew came through the middle. A nice through ball set Marc up, who smashed the ball into the bottom corner giving the keeper no chance.

Second half Mullingar remained dominant. But failed to put away their many many chances! Torben put Rice on a plate only for Rice to make the miss of the season in front of goal, failing to even get it on target! He did manage to make up for it minutes later after Torben again put him on a plate only this time he managed to score in the bottom corner.

Mullingar got a bit too comfortable and covered through a short corner. Mullingar unlucky not to score more as Draper pinged one of the post. And Mullingar missed several more chances.

Feely out in a super performance as he pulled off several top class saves, the keeper is going from strength to strength this season!!

Mullingar man marking and passing has improved drastically over the previous few weeks.

Thanks to Woody O’ Neill and Barry Watters for umpiring.
